We’re looking for someone who can animate 3D models for an unshown Game Project (Unity). This will involve but is not limited to: animating cutscenes, character actions, objects, combat, movement, and general cinematography. Payment is flexible but will be negotiated in private, our goal is to strike the right balance between you and Team Poppu.
With the release of Flash Player 11, which includes the hardware accelerated Stage3D API, the number of 3D games, applications and online 3D experiences is likely to increase dramatically over the coming years. The Stage3D API is very powerful, but it comes with a fairly steep learning curve. Fortunately, there are frameworks you can use to simplify 3D development in Flash—such as the very popular open source 3D engine Away3D.
Away3D has been around since 2007 and supports Flash Player 9 and 10 as well as the most recent Flash Player 11. It is developed as free, open source software by a worldwide team of Flash 3D professionals and is used to develop games, applications, interactive art, tools and more or less anything with 3D content.
In this series of articles, you'll take a tour of the different tasks required to build a typical 3D project, such as loading assets, creating materials, and animating 3D objects.
This first article in the series describes how to set up an Away3D 4 project and create a simple 3D product viewer in just 30 minutes, using less than 60 lines of code.
